American pubcaster PBS is revealing new programming and initiatives during its Winter TCA Press Tour, running today (Feb. 2) through to Feb. 5, including a new documentary from Stanley Nelson and his Firelight Films.
PBS science series ‘Nova,’ a production of WGBH Boston, is collaborating with Nelson (pictured) for the first time on the one-off project Medical Racism (w/t), slated to premiere in late 2022.
The two-hour film will explore racism’s devastating impacts on Black Americans’ health and solutions for an equitable future, connecting today’s stories to a history that includes the Tuskegee syphilis study, the eugenics movement and slavery in the Americas.
